Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection that affects the lungs. Pneumonia can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi. Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia contracted by a person outside of the healthcare system. Severe pneumonia score is a mobile app designed to help medical practitioner to predict risk of adverse outcomes in patients with severe community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) by using the SCAP score.
